Behind the solid play of sophomore Kaew Preamchuen (Chachoengsao, Thailand / Datdaruni School), the Kennesaw State women’s golf team bettered its second-round score by 14 strokes to finish tied for 13th at the UCF Challenge that concluded Tuesday at the par-72, 3,674-yard RedTail Golf Club in Sorrento, Fla.
“Although today’s round was significantly better than yesterday, we left too many shots out on the course. Again poor decision making and shot selection left us out of the top 10,” head coach Rhyll Brinsmead said. “Individually Ines and Kaew performed very well, and I’m proud of their tenacity on the course.”
Kennesaw State sophomore Ines Lescudier (Marseille, France / Tulane) recorded her best finish of the 2012-13 season as she tied for 12th with a 2-over par total of 218. Kaew Preamchuen tied for 21st after completing 54 holes with a 5-over par 221.
