DALLAS – Junior Nyah Kelly led the way for Kennesaw State women’s golf this week at the FAU Invitational, earning the program’s first Conference USA Golfer of the Week award, the league announced Wednesday.
The Ontario, Canada native posted rounds of 72-72-74 for a 2-over total of 218 and a 27th-place finish.
Kelly opened the tournament with back-to-back even-par 72 scores to sit 21st overall after 36 holes. She made five birdies on the first day.
She then continued her steady play in the final 18 holes on Tuesday, collecting two more birdies before ultimately carding a 2-over par 74 to finish the week.
Kelly and the Owls will tee off next out west in Arizona, taking part in the Rio Verde Invitational. The three-day tournament begins Friday, Feb. 21.
