On February 24 and 25, 2018 The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held its first event of the
Canongate Series. Canongate Series #1 was held in Sharpsburg, Georgia at Canongate Golf
Club- Lee. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole, two-day format and the field was made up
of a full active field from six divisions that included the Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18, Will
Smith Division Boys 14-15, Ernie Els Division Boys 11-13, Boys Under 10, Justin Timberlake
Division Girls 14-18 and the Justin Rose Division Girls Under 13.
In the Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18, Colson Herrin of Augusta, Georgia placed first
in a field of 33 golfers. Colson’s first round he shot a 74 and then later shot a 71 to claim the best
score at the tournament in his division and secure first place with a two-day total score of 145.
Hunter Clay of Woodstock, Georgia finished second with a score of 77 his first round and a
score of 74 his second round with a two-day total of 151. Cody Boazman of Rome, Georgia and
Miles Parroco of Prospect, Kentucky tied for third place with a two-day total of 152.
In the Will Smith Division Boys 14-15, Liam Shinn of Norcross, Georgia placed first in a
field of 27 golfers with a two-day total of 148, shooting 73 in his first round and then 75 his
second round. Tejas Reddy of McDonough, Georgia finished second with a two-day total of 150
and Sam Brummett finished in third with a two-day total of 151.
Billy Abdow of Duluth, Georgia finished first in the Ernie Els Division Boys 11-13 with
a total score of 156, shooting an 80 his first round and a 76 his second round. Aidan Cohl of
Lawrenceville, Georgia came in second place with a total two-day score of 159 and Glover
Amick of Atlanta, Georgia finished in third place with a two-day total score of 161.
David Smith of Atlanta, Georgia finished in first place with a two-day total score of 181.
Channing Addington of Watkinsville, Georgia came in second with a two-day total score of 193.
In the Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18, Sara Im of Duluth, Georgia came in first
in a field of 15 golfers with a two-day total score of 148, shooting a 79 her first round and then
coming back and scoring an impressive 69 to finish with one of the best rounds of the
tournament and take home the prize. Victoria England of Memphis, Tennessee came in a close
second place with a two-day total score of 149 and Eujin Pyon of Macon, Georgia came in third
with a two-day total of 157.
Elle Marie Reisner of Atlanta Georgia finished in first for the Just Rose Division Girls
Under 13 with a two-day total score of 182 and Madison Glisson of Boaz, Kentucky placed
second with a two-day total of 195.
