SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – With three players shooting in the 60’s, the Georgia State men’s golf team shot a 3-under par 277 on Saturday at the Maui Jim Intercollegiate at Mirabel Golf Club.
Freshman Jordan Jung led the Panthers with a 2-under 68 and sits in a tie for 58th at 2-over par. Senior Owen Sertl and sophomore Maxence Mugnier each added rounds of 69 during the second round. Sertl leads the Panthers in a tie for 38th at 1-under par.
Georgia State stands at 1-over par and in 13th place with 18 holes to play on Sunday. The Panthers are just one stroke behind both Alabama and New Mexico.
Following an 18-under par 262, Georgia Tech leads the field at 34-under par, four strokes ahead of Clemson. Yellow Jacket Christo Lamprecht shot a 63 and is 12-under par, holding a one-stroke lead over four players.
