AUBURN, Ala. – Claes Borregaard punched his ticket to the NCAA Championship by finishing tied for second at the NCAA Auburn Regional at AU Golf Club on Wednesday.
He becomes the first Owl to qualify to the NCAA Championships as an individual
The senior posted an even-par round of 72 to finish at 8-under par 208 for the 54-hole event. He made two birdies and 14 pars during his round. The Smorum, Denmark native led the field in Par 4 scoring average at 3.73 and was second in birdies with 14.
Borregaard will now fly out to the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa’s Champions Course in Carlsbad, Calif. on May 23-26 for the 2025 NCAA Championship.
