Carrollton, G.A. – The Columbus State University women’s golf team closed out play on Tuesday, April 8th, 2015, at the UWG Invitational in Carrollton, G.A. The tournament was played at the Sunset Hills Country Club.
As she did on day one, Courtney Lowery topped the list for the Lady Cougars with a round of five-over par 77 Tuesday. The sophomore finished with a three-day total of 225 to end in eighth place. It marks the fifth time in 10 events that Lowery has placed inside the top 10.
After rounds of 80 and 89 on Monday, senior Ciera Bagley carded an 85 in the final round. Bagley posted a 254 total for the tournament and tied for 37th place overall.
Montevallo’s Arin Eddy stayed in the top spot on the leader board to earn the individual title, while Lander jumped the Falcons to win the team title.
Columbus State will have one final tune-up before next week’s Peach Belt Conference Championship. The Lady Cougars will play a one-day match against Point University on Friday, April 10th, 2015, at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, G.A. The two teams will tee off at 3:00 p.m.
