STATESBORO, G.A. – Georgia Southern men’s golfer Scott Wolfes has been named to the Division I PING All-Southeast Region Team, earning the honor for the second time in his career.
Wolfes was the Sun Belt Golfer of the Year and a first-team all-conference selection. He posted seven top-10 finishes in 11 tournaments this season and shared medalist honors at the Wendy’s Kiawah Classic. His scoring average of 70.96 set the new school record, and his 63 in the third round of the Wendy’s Kiawah Classic tied the school mark.
A PING all-region selection in 2013, Wolfes was also the Southern Conference Golfer of the Year that season. He completed his illustrious career with 31 top-20 finishes in 46 collegiate tournaments, and his career scoring average of 72.41 ranks third at Georgia Southern. Wolfes posted 15 top-5 and 22 top-10 finishes, and he is the only four-time all-conference selection and only two-time Golfer of the Year in school history.
