Houston, TX, March 31, 2016 – Triumph Golf, LLC, operating under the name of Woodmont Interests, LLC has acquired the Woodmont Golf & Country Club from WGC Atlanta, LLC for an undisclosed purchase price. Woodmont represents the second asset purchased within the past twelve months in the Atlanta area by Triumph Golf, who acquired Heritage Golf Links in June of 2015. In addition to the Atlanta market, Triumph operates Cypress Lakes and Longwood Golf Clubs in Houston, the Pebble Creek Country Club in College Station, TX and the Tanglewood Country Club in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. Triumph Founder & Principal Billy Sitton says, “We entered the Atlanta market last June and are very excited to expand on our portfolio in this growing and vibrant market. As we do at each Club we acquire, we look forward to enhancing the Member/Guest experience at Woodmont and adding to the Club’s overall appeal.”
In addition to 18 championship holes of golf, Woodmont offers members a full array of private club amenities. The 26,000 square foot clubhouse was designed by award-winning architects Chapman and Coyle. Interior details include vaulted ceilings and a welcoming fireplace as well as many special touches to set the perfect stage for any special event. For the tennis enthusiast, Woodmont offers tennis lessons, clinics and club tournaments played on 8 hard surface courts and 2 clay courts. In addition, there are two outdoor swimming pools, a kid’s wading pool and a resort style slide. The Club is host to the award winning Wahoos Swim Team.
Triumph’s plan for Woodmont Golf & Country Club involves positioning the club to better align services and facilities to the local market and grow the Membership from the surrounding community. Their service philosophy is to exceed the needs and expectations of their clientele. “Continuing to meet and exceed our Member’s and Guest’s expectations will be my primary focus”, stated General Manager, Jody Clor. “Woodmont is uniquely positioned in the northern Atlanta growth corridor to be an attractive place for young families and active seniors to settle down”
This represents the fifth property that Triumph has acquired in the past five years plus two strategic management relationships. Triumph has reinvested into their clubs dramatically enhancing both the Member/Guest experience and the clubs’ overall appeal.
