CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — Georgia’s Spencer Ralston posted the fourth top-10 finish of his career as the Golfweek Collegiate Challenge concluded Tuesday at Cedar Rapids Country Club.
Ralston, a sophomore from Gainesville, wound up 10th individually at 3-under 213, including a final-round 3-over 75. North Carolina State’s Benjamin Shipp took medalist honors at 10-under 206.
As a squad, the No. 25 Bulldogs fired an 11-over 299 on Tuesday to wind up 14th at 26-over 890. North Carolina State (17-under 847) held off host Iowa (15-under 849) for the team title.
Senior Zach Healy and junior Jack Larkin Jr. paced the Bulldogs on Tuesday as they each signed for a 1-over 73. Freshman John Hilliard Catanzaro followed Ralston at 6-over 78, while sophomore Trevor Phillips had the Bulldogs’ non-counting score of 8-over 80.
Phillips landed at 9-over 225 for the tournament, followed by Larkin at 10-over 226, Healy at 12-over 228 and Catanzaro at 22-over 238.
Georgia will return to action Oct. 1-3 in the Nike Invitational in Portland, Ore.?
