LOXLEY, Ala. – The Kennesaw State men’s golf team wrapped up its fall schedule with a third-place finish at the Steelwood Collegiate Invitational that concluded Sundayat the Steelwood Country Club in Loxley, Alabama.
The Owls carded a final-round 6-over par 294 to post a 54-hole total of 866 and finish behind No. 7 and tournament champion Wake Forest (844, -20) and Mississippi State (860, -4).
Junior Connor Coffee shot a final-round 1-under par 71 to complete play with a 2-under par 214 total and place fifth, seven shots behind Wake Forest’s Eric Bae (207, -9), who earned a two-shot victory over Indiana’s Brock Ochsenreiter (209, -7).
Senior Wyatt Larkin (216, E) tied for seventh, while freshman Grant Sutliff and senior Jake Fendt tied for 14th at 2-over par 218. Senior Pablo Rodriguez-Tabernero Torres (231, +15) tied for 56th.
Kennesaw State is next in action on Feb. 1 when it opens its spring schedule at the Mobile Sports Authority Intercollegiate at the Magnolia Grove – Crossings Course in Mobile, Alabama.
