HUMACAO, PUERTO RICO — The Kennesaw State men’s golf team finished fourth at the Palmas Del Mar Collegiate on Tuesday.
“Really proud of how we competed this week and got ourselves into contention once again with two top 10 individual finishes,” head coach Bryant Odom said. “Claes gave the medalist honor a run while Luca shot a bogey free round to finish the tournament. We found some of the momentum from the fall and found a lot of positives to begin the semester in these first two events. I know this team is hungry for the remainder of the schedule and competes with the best when contributing together.”
Round three was concluded on Tuesday morning. Play began in round three on Monday due to inclement weather that was expected Tuesday afternoon.
KSU carded a 5-under round of 283 to finish at 10-under par 854 for the event. As a team the Owls played the final 36 holes at 10-under par.
Claes Borregaard finished second at 9-under par 207. The senior made an eagle, birdies and nine pars over the final 18 holes to record his third consecutive round of 3-under par 69.
Luca Gallingani posted a 5-under 67 with an eagle, three birdies and 14 pars in the final round. The freshman tied for seventh at 4-under par 212. .
Shaun Cook played his final four holes at 1-under par to post a 1-over par round of 73. He tied for 32nd at 2-over par 218.
Hunter Gillard (74) tied for 38th at 4-over par 220.
Joshua Todd (75) tied for 53rd at 7-over par 223.
Playing as an individual, Kyle Bachosky finished tied for 32nd after a round of 6-under 66. He made seven birdies and 10 pars during the final round. The junior fnished the tournament at 2-over par 218.

The Owls will host the Linger Longer Invitational at the Landing Course at Reynolds Lake Oconee March 16-18.
