ATHENS, Ga. — Karoline Tuttle, who has qualified for seven USGA events including the 2021 U.S. Women’s Open, has signed to continue her collegiate career at Georgia, head coach Erika Brennan announced on Monday.
Tuttle, a native of Lake Mary, Fla., will join the Bulldogs after three seasons, including a redshirt campaign, at Florida and has two seasons of collegiate eligibility remaining.
“We are thrilled that Karoline is a Dawg!” Brennan said. “She’s an exceptional golfer and has proven her resilience time and again. She brings so much experience to our team and is a winner on every level. Karoline is a model student-athlete and excels not only on the course but also in the classroom and the community. She will immediately impact our program for the better and we cannot wait for August to watch her shine!”
Tuttle notched a pair of top-10 finishes at the Gators Invitational and Chattanooga Classic this spring and also went 2-1 in match play at the 2025 SEC Championships to help Florida to a runner-up finish. She was named to the SEC’s Academic Honor Roll in 2023 and 2024 and was a member of the SEC Community Service team for women’s golf in 2024.
“The University of Georgia offers a blend of excellence in athletics and academics that resonated with me on multiple levels,” Tuttle said. “But most importantly, I am impressed with the leadership and positivity of Coach Brennan and Coach (Dalton) Stevens. I am excited to challenge myself, embrace new opportunities and be a part of historic excellence. Can’t wait to get after it with the Dawgs!”
Tuttle won the Dixie Amateur last December, shooting 4-under en route to a five-shot victory over the field. As a junior golfer, Tuttle won a trio of AJGA events, was back-to-back Florida State Golf Association (FSGA) Junior of the Year in 2020 and 2021, captured a pair of Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) team titles and was medalist for Class 3A at the 2018 FHSAA State Tournament.
Georgia has a rich history in women’s golf, sporting four national championships (one team and three individual) and a league-leading 19 SEC Championships (11 team and eight individual). The Bulldogs captured the 2001 NCAA Championship, one of 21 top-10 and 29 top-20 finishes at the national championships over the last 47 years. In addition to national champion medalists Terri Moody (AIAW in 1981), Cindy Schreyer (NCAA in 1984) and Vicki Goetze (NCAA in 1992), 35 Georgia golfers have combined to earn 64 All-America certificates.
