Anders Albertson shot an even-par 72 Sunday to lead Georgia Tech to a seventh place finish at the Southern Highlands Collegiate Masters golf tournament.
Seth Reeves and Ollie Schniederjans each shot 76 Sunday, while Michael Hines added a 77 for the Yellow Jackets on the most difficult scoring day of the weekend on the 7,510-yard Southern Highlands Golf Club. Freshman Shun Yat Hak signed for an incorrect score and was disqualified.
“The guys hung in there really well today,” said Tech head coach Bruce Heppler. “There were a lot of great teams here and the scoring was difficult, and this was a good benchmark for us. We’ll get back to work here and get ready for the next tournament.”
Reeves, a junior from Duluth, Ga., and Albertson, a sophomore from Woodstock, Ga., both tied for 19th place individually at 4-over-par 220. Schniederjans tied for 36th at 224 (+8) and Hines tied for 48th at 226 (+10).
