ATLANTA, Ga. – The PGA TOUR season will once again finish in Georgia as the TOUR Championship returns to East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, Aug. 27–30.
Only the top 30 players in the FedExCup standings after the BMW Championship will earn a trip to East Lake, making Atlanta the final destination in the season-long race for the FedExCup.
While the final field has yet to be decided, Georgia golf fans will likely have some familiar connections to follow. With the state’s strong presence on the PGA TOUR and its history of producing top professional golfers, Georgia-affiliated players could once again be featured among the final 30.
Beyond the competition, East Lake gives the TOUR Championship a distinctly Georgia identity. The historic home course of Atlanta legend Bobby Jones has become synonymous with the PGA TOUR’s season finale and provides a fitting stage for the conclusion of another season.
When the final field arrives in Atlanta, Georgia will once again find itself at the center of the professional golf world.
