Greenwood, S.C. – The Peach Belt Conference Golf Championships at the Greenwood Country Club came to an early close as Sunday’s (April 19th, 2015) third and final round was rained out. Final team and individual scores and rankings reflect the two completed rounds.
The 15th-ranked Columbus State University men’s golf team finished ninth with a two-round score of 588, one stroke behind Georgia Southwestern and one ahead of Montevallo. K.J. Lee was the Cougars’ top individual, tying for 10th after shooting a one-under 143 in his 36 holes.
The Lady Cougars finished eighth with a 740 total. Courtney Lowery posted a top-five finish, tying for fifth with a six-over 150.
No. 6 Flagler won the men’s PBC championship with a 566, and the Saints’ Jordan Ebanks took individual honors with a six-under 138. Montevallo captured the women’s PBC championship with a 602, and the Falcons’ Arin Eddy won the individual title with a five-under 139.
The season has come to a close for the Columbus State women, while the CSU men will now get ready for the NCAA Regionals on May 4-6, 2015 at the Lake Jovita Golf and Country Club in Dade City, F.L.
