OOLTEWAH, Tenn. — The Georgia women’s golf team posted scores of 306 and 301 in the second and third rounds of the Chattanooga Classic on Saturday. The Bulldogs finished sixth on the 15-team leaderboard, covering 54 holes at The Honors Course in 906.

• The tourney was shortened from three days to two due to the weather forecast for Sunday.
• Chantal El Chaib was Georgia’s top individual finisher, shooting 5-over 221 and tying for eighth. She closed with a 2-under 70 in the final round to notch her team-leading 12 par-or-better round and sixth top-10 effort in 10 events this season.
• The Bulldogs other final round counting scores came from Morgan Smith (76), Celine Brovold Sannd (77) and Kate Song (78).
• In the second round, Brovold Sanne led Georgia with a 1-over 73 with remaining counters being a 74 from Song, a 79 from Zixin “Candice” Lou and an 80 from Smith.
• Overall, Brovold Sanne tied for 26th (226), Son tied for 28th (227), Smith tied for 59th (235), Grace Frei, who was competing individually, placed 76th (242), and Lou tied for 80th (247).

Georgia will return to action in 10 days when the Bulldogs host the 53rd annual Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic at the University of Georgia Golf Course. The year’s tournament will feature 36 holes on Tuesday, April 8 followed by the final round on Wednesday, April 9.
