FRANKLIN, Tenn. — Even-par 72 from super seniors Jenny Bae and Jo Hua Hung led the Georgia women’s golf team en route to a 7-over 295 in Saturday’s second round of the Mason Rudolph Championships at the Vanderbilt Legends Club. Despite trimming two strokes from their first-round effort, the Bulldogs slipped to 12th on the team leaderboard at Vanderbilt Legends Club
The tallies were the fourth par-or-better individual efforts in five fall rounds for both Bae and Hung.
Bae began her day hot and was 3-under over her first six holes to move atop the individual leaderboard before giving those strokes back over the final two-thirds of her loop.
The Bulldogs also counted a 75 from Céleste Dao and a 76 from Caterina Don while dropping Caroline Craig’s 77.
Overall, Bae enters the final round tied for eighth at 3-under 141. She is four shots off the pace of co-leaders Tillie Clagget of Vanderbilt and Megan Schofill of Auburn. In addition, Hung is tied for 31st at 147, and Craig, Dao and Don all are tied for 60th at 153.
The Bulldogs will be paired with Denver and Alabama for Sunday’s final round and will tee off from No. 10 between 9:15-9:55 a.m. ET. Live scoring is being updated on a three-hole basis at www.golfstat.com.
