Braselton, GA — On Saturday June 27, 2015, Chateau Elan’s Chateau Course will host the North Florida & Southeast District Semi-Final Championship advancing successful female players to one of the largest women’s amateur annual golf competitions in the country, the EWGA Championship Finals held at the Westin Mission Hills in Rancho Mirage, CA.
EWGA members from the Atlanta and Atlanta West & South Chapters along with women from Birmingham, Daytona Beach, Jacksonville, Orlando and Savannah-Hilton Head will be competing.
Participants compete in flights against players of similar skill level. The formats include five flights of individual low gross and low net stroke play as well as a low net team scramble competition. The first place winners advance to the EWGA National Championship in October. The championship’s format encourages women of all skill levels to compete, underscoring the EWGA’s mantra to enhance the careers and lives of working women through golf.
Now in its 20th year, the EWGA Championship is one of the largest women’s amateur golf competitions in the country with more than 2,500 members participating annually. The 36-hole EWGA Championship Final will include over 200 women amateur golfers who have advanced from 117 local chapter qualifiers and 15 district semi-final tournaments to reach the Finals.
