The Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort & Spa will host the first of 10 EWGA Par 3 Challenge Regional Qualifiers on June 1 with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
A new competitive series for 2015, this nationwide inaugural event will feature 10 regulation 18-hole Troon Golf courses, converted to shorter yardages to create the Par 3 experience. The EWGA Par 3 Challenge qualifier is a two-person Best Ball format, with both Gross and Net divisions. Teams may consist of two women or a mixed team (one woman and one man) and is open to both EWGA members and non-members. Participants must have a verifiable USGA Handicap Index for Net Division. Winners from all 10 qualifying venues will advance to the Par 3 Challenge Finals in Palm Beach, Fl., on June 27, 2015.
In its first year, The Par 3 Challenge competition exists to promote fun, fast, organized team play. Entry fee ($150 per person EWGA Member – $175 per person Non-member) includes green fee, cart, practice balls, tee prize for golfers, event prizes and the post-tournament awards reception.
