Rocky Creek Golf Club, Public, 912-538-1110
Located among the rolling hills and stately trees of southeastern Georgia in Vidalia, this 18 hole, Jim Bivins design is a true test of golf for both the amateur and the professional. It requires both accuracy and strategy yet is enjoyable to all who play. Rocky Creek is noted for its outstanding course conditions and especially its excellent large and many tiered Tiff Dwarf Bermuda greens. We also offer great southern style hospitality and service to make all golfers feel right at home.
With a Course Rating/Slope of 72.0/139 from the tips to 68.4/122 from the forward tees, this spectacular Georgia golf course was crafted with all golfers in mind. The natural beauty of the land along with the meandering Rocky Creek and its wetlands, the rolling hills and the tree lined fairways create not only a hearty challenge but a visual experience of nature at its best. The golfer will be challenged on all fronts by the rolling fairways and elevation changes, many hazards and lakes, and extremely large undulating Tiff Dwarf Bermuda grass greens. On 13 of the 18 holes, at least one shot will require crossing either a hazard formed by the meandering Rocky Creek and its wetlands or by a body of water guarding a tee shot or a green. As if this wasn’t enough, numerous strategically located sand bunkers and mounds are scattered throughout the course to challenge your shot making skills. Once to the greens, the golfer will be required to position his ball so as to avoid the treacherous side or downhill putt.
