Valdosta State Golf Team finished third at the Las Vegas Desert Classic at the par 72, 7016 yard Revere Golf Club Lexington Course.
Valdosta State stood fourth after the first day of play, which was shortened from 36 to 18 holes due to winds that were reaching over 40 miles per hour. With the winds calmer during Monday’s final round, VSU shot a 304 and finished the tournament 47 strokes over par at 623.
Nate Anderson paced Valdosta State as he finished tied for fifth with an eight over 152 while Abdul Sihag was four strokes behind and tied for 16th. Clarke Hendrick tallied a 157 for 24th and John Fordham shot a 158 for 29th while Drew McGuire finished at 164 to tie for 47th.
