LAS VEGAS N.V.— The Georgia men’s golf team finished 15th on Wednesday, March 11th, 2015, in the Southern Highlands Collegiate Masters.
The Bulldogs wound up with a total of 19-over-par 883, including a final-round 9-over 297. Team honors went to Texas at 26-under 838.
Sophomore Greyson Sigg paced the Bulldogs in the final round with a 1-over 73. Senior Mookie DeMoss and junior Lee McCoy each signed for a 2-over 74, while senior Nicholas Reach and junior Sepp Straka both had 4-over 76s.
McCoy placed 11th individually at 3-under 213, 12 shots in back of Alabama’s Robby Shelton (15-under 201). Straka and Sigg finished at 7-over 223, followed by Reach at 10-over 226 and DeMoss at 13-over 229.
Georgia will be hosting the Southern Intercollegiate on Monday, March 16th, 2015, at Athens Country Club. The 36-hole event is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. and there is no cost for admission. Joining the Bulldogs will be Charleston Southern, Francis Marion, Furman, Georgia Regents University, Georgia State, Lipscomb, Maryland Eastern Shore, Presbyterian, Princeton, Savannah State, Stetson, Western Carolina and Youngstown State.
