Savannah native Brian Harman earned a spot in PGA Tour history with two holes-in-one in the final round of The Barclays, the opening event for the FedExCup Playoffs. Harman is just the third player to accomplish that feat, joining an amateur at the tour stop in Hartford in 1995 and a Japanese player in Reno in 2006.
Harman, who played his college golf at Georgia and is a St. Simons Island resident, holed out from 183 yards with a 7-iron on the third hole, and used a 4-hybrid for his ace on the difficult 218=yard 14th. He nearly made it three hole-outs on the day, with his approach to the par-4 17th coming up one foot short of an eagle.
Thanks to the two aces, Harman shot 2-under 68 to tie for 30th at 278, moving up from 69 to 62 in the FedExCup standings.
