AUGUSTA, Ga. — Some of the best women’s golf teams in the nation will make their way to Augusta for the annual Valspar Augusta Invitational title March 15 and 16 at Forest Hills Golf Club in Augusta. There will be 13 teams teeing it up in the 54 hole event with the first two rounds on March 15 and then the final round on Sunday, March 16.
Among those teams competing are nationally ranked Michigan State, the University of Central Flordai, Georgia Southern and Texas Tech.
Women’s golf coach Ember Holloway knows her squad will have a challenge, but are ready to welcome some of the best around for the annual event.
“It’s exciting because we’re going to be on our home course and I know the girls have put in a lot of hard work over the off season,” said Holloway. “We are showing our improvement and growth and I think this is a good chance for us to defend our home turf.”
The fall schedule for the Jaguars was highlighted by Keira Gonzalez-McCarthy‘s win at the Lady Paladin Invitational hosted by Furman University.
