JOHN’S ISLAND, SC — Both Stefan Jacobs and Bo Blanchard II carded final round’s 69 in the Battle at Briar’s Creek to lead Augusta men’s golf to an 11th place finish. The tournament was hosted by the College of Charleston. As a team, Augusta finished at +16. North Carolina State won the tournament with the host Cougars three-shots back in second. West Virginia finished in third.

Jacobs registered six birdies and three bogies in the final round and finished in 20th place on the individual front. Blanchard rolled in five birdies and had his best round of the tournament. He would finish in 50th place, tied with teammate Pieter Rossouw Jr. Rossouw shot a 75 to wrap up the tournament.
Chapman Barnett tied his best round of the season with a +1, 73 and finished in 53rd place at +8. He had two birdies on the afternoon as most all of the field played nearly 36 holes after a weather delay on Monday.
Augusta will next travel to Laredo, Tx. for the Border Olympics, hosted by the University of Houston Feb.17 and 18.
