SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Georgia Southern’s Scott Wolfes (St. Simons Island, Ga./Glynn Academy) has been named the Southern Conference Golfer of the Week for the third time this season, the league announced today.
Wolfes carded a 67 on the final day of the FAU Slomin Center Invititational to move up from ninth and tie for fourth. The junior shot a 209 (-4) in the tournament and helped the Eagles to a second-place finish behind Central Florida, which is ranked sixth in the country.
It was the 10th top-5 finish of Wolfes’ career and second in a row. He earns SoCon Golfer of the Week honors for the fifth time in his career.
The Eagles are back in action at the Mason Rudolph Championships, hosted by Vanderbilt at the Legends Course in Nashville, Tenn., April 4-6.
