LYNCHBURG, Va. – Augusta golfer Sara Adams posted a tie for ninth place at the annual Donna Andrews Invitational at Boonsboro Country Club in Lynchburg, Va. Adams shot 78-69-73 and finished at four-over-par for the event.
After starting slow in the opening round, Adams kicked it into high gear in the second round. She carded three birdies and an eagle during the round and made a big jump up the leaderboard. In the final round, the rising junior started with a pair of birdies over the first three holes. She did have a couple of miscues before making hte turn. Adams did make another eagle and a birdie over the final nine holes.
During her sophomore year with the Jaguars, Adams played in all ten events with her best finish being an 11th place finish at the Southland Conference Championship.
The Donna Andrews Invitational was established in 2019. The event is a tournament dedicated to creating a premier tournament experience for amateur golfers of all ages.
