VALDOSTA, G.A. – Two Valdosta State golfers have been named to the All-Gulf South Conference team in a vote of the league coaches, as announced by the league office Thursday, April 30th, 2015.
Both Chris Rogers and John Fordham were named to the second team All-GSC squad. Rogers and Fordham were the only two Blazers to play all 30 rounds for VSU this season and each also advanced to the NCAA South/Southeast Regional as individuals.
Rogers led Valdosta State with a 74.3 strokes per round average this year and saw his score count in 29 of 30 rounds played. He tallied six rounds of par or better and tallied one top five, three top 10 and five top 20 finishes on the season.
Fordham was second on the Blazer team with a 74.8 strokes per round average and completed the season with two top 10 and five top 20 finishes. He had nine rounds of par or better on the year and saw his score count in 26 of his 30 rounds played.
