SAINT SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. — The Bulldogs ended play in the 2025 SEC Championship on Saturday morning after falling to No. 17 Texas A&M 4-1 in the match-play quarterfinals at Sea Island Golf Club. Georgia took on match-play as the No. 6 seed, facing off against the No. 3 seed Aggies. Freshman James Earle earned the lone point for Georgia after a 1UP victory over No. 181 Sophomore Aaron Pounds.

- Freshman James Earle recorded a 1-up victory over Aaron Pounds. Earle took a 1-up lead with a win on hole 2 and held the advantage through much of the front nine. Pounds leveled the match on hole 5 and again tightened the match late, but Earle won hole 17 and halved 18 to clinch the 1-up win.
- Senior Buck Brumlow dropped a 4&3 decision to Phichaksn Maichon. The match was all square through three holes before Maichon won three straight on holes 4, 5, and 6 to build a 3-up lead. Brumlow trimmed the deficit with a win on hole 10, but Maichon answered by halving hole 11 and closed out the match with a win on hole 15.
- Sophomore Grayson Wood dropped a 6&5 decision to Wheaton Ennis. Ennis took early control by winning holes 1, 3, and 4 to build a 3-up lead through four holes. He extended the advantage to 5-up through eight holes and secured the 6&5 victory by halving hole 11.
- Junior Carter Loflin dropped a 3&2 decision to Michael Heidelbaugh. Heidelbaugh grabbed an early 2-up lead through three holes. Loflin fought back with a win on hole 10 to cut it to 1-down, but Heidelbaugh won hole 16 to go 3-up and closed out the match 3&2.
- Senior George Langham dropped a 1-up decision to Jaime Montojo. Langham took a 1-up lead after winning hole 4. Montojo squared the match on hole 7 and then won hole 11 to move 1-up. Langham battled down the stretch, but the two halved the final three holes as Montojo secured the 1-up win.
- The teams advancing to the semifinal are No. 1 Auburn, No. 8 Florida, No. 15 Alabama, and No. 17 Texas A&M.
