Veteran Champions Tour member James Mason won the annual Dan Parrish Memorial Tournament at Willow Lake in Metter, a long time event on the Georgia PGA Senior Division schedule.
Mason shot a 7-under 65 in the second round to finish with an 8-under 136 total to finish five ahead of Sonny Skinner and Craig Stevens, who tied for 2nd at 141 Mason had seven birdies and no bogeys on his second round scorecard after shooting 71 the first day.
Skinner, who also has limited status on the Champions Tour, posted scores of 69-72, while Stevens, an instructor at Brookstone CC, shot 71-70. Also tying for 2nd and taking low amateur honors was Steve Collins, who shot 70-71 to edge out Don Marsh, who was 2nd among the amateurs and 5th overall at 142.
Orchard Hills head professional Wyatt Detmer was the only other player in the field to break par for 36 holes, placing 6th at 1-under 143. Host pro Gregg Wolff was 5th among the pros at 149.
