Savannah, G.A.– Shaving 13 strokes off its score from Monday’s opening round, the Columbus State University women’s golf team wrapped up the Lady Pirate Invitational on Tuesday, February 3rd, 2015. The tournament was played at the Savannah Quarters Country Club.
The Lady Cougars put a 380 total on the board Tuesday to finish 16th overall with a total score of 773.
Nova Southeastern took home the overall crown with a two-day total of 588. Florida Tech (592) finished four shots back in second, while Flagler (596), West Florida (605) and Lander (613) rounded out the top five.
Ciera Bagley shaved eight shots off her first round score to finish with an 81 on Tuesday. Her two-round score of 170 placed her in a tie for 76th.
With a final round 88, Courtney Lowery turned in CSU’s best total for the event. The sophomore ended at 168 for a 70th-place tie.
Freshman Shelby Banta carded a final round 93 playing out of the third spot for the Lady Cougars. She finished in 80th overall with a final total of 180.
Courtney Jacquay and Brianna Henthorn played in the final two spots for CSU and placed 83rd and 84th, respectively.
Columbus State is right back on the course next week for the Point University Skyhawk Invitational. The tournament will be played at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, Ga.
