ROSWELL, GA – Shawn Koch, PGA Director of Instruction at Country Club of the South in Johns Creek and Chris Cartwright, PGA Head Professional from West Pines Golf Club in Douglasville worked overtime to win the 26th annual Club Car Pro-Pro Scramble presented by Ernest Sports, Global Golf Sales, Hass Jordan, Oxford Golf and Sun Mountain at Ansley Golf Club’s Settindown Course in Roswell.
Koch and Cartwright carded a round of eleven-under par 61 to earn a spot in the playoff against PGA Head Professional Drew Pittman of Forest Heights Country Club in Statesboro and PGA Head Professional Scott Allen from the Pointe South Golf Club in Augusta. The playoff went on for five holes, and finally concluded when Koch made a 15-foot birdie putt on the 18th hole to give he and Cartwright their first title in the Pro-Pro Scramble as a team. Koch had previously won this event in 2007 with a different partner.
Defending Champions PGA Teaching Professional Jeff Frasier from Chicopee Woods Golf Course in Gainesville and PGA apprentice Luke James from Royal Lakes Country Club in Flowery Branch shot nine-under par 63 to finish in a tie for 8th place.
