STOCKBRIDGE, Ga. – The Kennesaw State women’s golf team tied for fifth at the 16-team John Kirk Panther Intercollegiate that concluded Tuesday at the par-72, 6,164-yard Eagle’s Landing Country Club in Stockbridge, Ga.? ?The Owls carded rounds of 305-301-306 for a 54-hole total of 48-over par 912.
The fifth place finish marked the third of the spring for Kennesaw State, which has recorded five straight top 10 showings.
The Owls were led by junior Kaew Preamchuen who posted a closing-round 3-over 75 to finish the tournament at 3-over par 219 and tie for fourth place. Preamchuen, who recorded rounds of 73-71-75, finished five shots behind first place.
Freshman Laura Estefenn (231) tied for 29th, while junior Ines Lescudier (232) tied for 32nd, freshman Dulcie Sverdloff (233) tied for 37th and redshirt junior Hayley Clinning(239) tied for 53rd.
Kennesaw State is next in action on Friday when it travels to Oxford, Miss., to compete in the Rebel Intercollegiate hosted by Ole Miss. The tournament will mark the Owls’ final competition before the Atlantic Sun Conference Championships scheduled for April 14-16 in Jekyll Island, Ga.
