BROWNS SUMMIT, N.C. – The GRU Augusta Jaguars remained in 15th place and finished 71-over par, after the third and final round of 18 holes at the Bryan National Collegiate in Browns Summit, N.C., at the Bryan Park Golf Course on Sunday afternoon, April 5, 2015.
The GRU Augusta Jaguars, ranked No. 45 in the nation, posted their best team score of the event with a 305 (+17) and took 15th out of 18 teams. After finishing with the same score after rounds one and two, No. 13 Wake Forest and No. 12 Virginia were tied at 36-over par at the end of the scheduled 18 holes and went to a playoff. Virginia won in a two-hole playoff.
Sophomore Eunice Yi posted three birdies and shot her best round of the event with a 73 (+1) to tie for 19th at 11-ove par. Sophomore Teresa Caballer Hernani shot her second-straight 76 (+4) of the event and ended in a tie for 38th. Freshman Sonya Knebel dropped three strokes from her first and second round scores and ended tied for 62nd with a 77 (+5).
Josefine Nyqvist shot a 79 (+7) to end in a tie for 71st and Jessica Haigwood tied for 80th with her eight-over 80 in round three.
GRU Augusta plays at the Silverado Showdown, hosted by University of Oregon and Colorado, at The Silverado North Course in Napa Valley, C.A. April 13-14, 2015.
