For almost 3 decades Atlanta’s golf community has rallied behind the annual Full Course Classic, a charity golf tournament dedicated to raising funds for hunger-relief efforts in greater Atlanta and north Georgia. This year’s tournament will be held on Monday, May 16 at Ansley Golf Club’s Settindown Creek. Proceeds from the tournament benefit the Atlanta Community Food Bank.
Food Bank supporter and PGA Pro Jason Bohn has been instrumental in planning this year’s tournament and will possibly be on hand to give players one-on-one tips. Settindown is a nationally ranked 18-hole championship golf course most recently named Georgia’s “Best in State” by Golf Digest. The course has also been ranked 84th among “America’s 100 Best Modern Courses” by Golfweek.
Attendees will be treated to a beautiful day on the greens with a breakfast from Atlanta’s own Proof of the Pudding, featuring a Bloody Mary Bar. Golfers can even play through lunch, with our on-the-course lunch service, thanks to the generosity of Hilton Atlanta. The afternoon will cap off with a closing reception featuring a gourmet buffet, an open bar, awards ceremony, prizes and closeout of the live and silent auctions.
The Atlanta Community Food Bank is one of the largest hunger relief organizations in the Southeast, supporting a network of 600 partner nonprofits – community and faith-based organizations – across 29 counties in greater Atlanta and north Georgia. Each year, they connect over 750,000 people with more than 60 million pounds of food – or more than 50 million meals.
