ATLANTA – Georgia State men’s golf coach Chad Wilson announced the signing of Australia’s Jordan Jung on Wednesday.
Jung, who has been ranked as high as No. 609 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings, has a win and nine top 10 finishes to his credit in his young career.
Last year Jung won the Drummond Golf 54 Hole Classic, while also earning a second-place finish in the Western Australia Amateur Championship and City of Perth Amateur. This summer he has already earned a third-place finish at the City of Perth Amateur and a 17th place finish in the Western Australia Amateur.
“We are excited to announce Jordan’s signing with Georgia State,” Wilson said. “Our program has been fortunate to have several Aussie golfers through the years and Jordan looks to follow in their footsteps by helping us bring more Sun Belt Championships back to Atlanta. Jordan has all the tools to be an elite golfer and we look forward to having him be a part of the #PantherFamily.”
Jung joins Mason Dean as two newcomers who will be joining the program in August. Wilson is expected to announce a challenging 2021-22 schedule within the next few days kicking off in mid-September.
