ATLANTA – Georgia State men’s golf coach Chad Wilson announced the signing of Auburn transfer and Peachtree City native Jake Milanowski on Thursday.
Milanowski spent the last four years at Auburn but will still have two years of eligibility remaining with the Panthers starting this fall.
“We are excited to welcome Jake to Georgia State,” Wilson said. “Jake has been a part of some talented teams at Auburn and knows what it takes to compete at the highest level. I have no doubt that he will come in and make an immediate impact for us this fall.”
In limited action last year, Milanowski played in just one event, the Tiger Invitational presented by Jason Dufner, and shot a final round 71.
As a sophomore he compiled a 73.33 scoring averaged and tied for 23rd at the Tiger Invitational shooting 72-73-73. As a redshirt-freshman, he saw action in two tournaments, shooting a season-low 72 at the Tiger Invitational.
Before attending Auburn, Milanowski attended Konos Academy in Fayetteville.
Milanowski joins Jordan Jung and Mason Dean as three newcomers who will be joining the program this month. The 2021-22 season gets underway Sept. 10, at the GSU-hosted Maui Jim Intercollegiate in Scottsdale, Ariz.
