STATESBORO, G.A. – Steven Fisk (Stockbridge, Ga./Dutchtown) and Carter Mobley (Waynesboro, Ga./Edmund Burke Academy) have signed National Letters of Intent to attend Georgia Southern and compete for the men’s golf program, beginning in the 2015-16 season, coach Carter Collins announced November 14th, 2014.
“We are very excited to add Steven and Carter to our 2015-16 roster,” said Collins. “To add two of the top talents in the state of Georgia is a good boost for our program moving forward. Both student-athletes are tremendous students and should be great assets for us in the classroom as well as on the course. Steven and Carter have similar competitive traits and should be big pieces for us during their careers at Georgia Southern.”

Ranked as high as 36th in the country according to Golfweek/Sagarin Rankings for the 2015 class; 4th in the state of Georgia.
Collins on Fisk: “Steven is a fiery competitor who has won and/or competed well in majority of the junior events he has played in. He has shown steady improvement in the last few years to a point where he is one of the highest ranked players we have signed.”

Collins on Mobley: “Carter is also a fierce competitor who loves to win and hates to lose. Carter is a very good talent who has shown that he can compete at the highest of levels when his game is on. He had produced an impressive junior golf resume, but we feel his best golf is ahead of him and that his game should translate very well into the college ranks.”
