STANFORD, Calif. – The No. 23 University of Georgia women’s golf team wrapped up the fall season Sunday afternoon at the Stanford Intercollegiate presented by Condoleezza Rice. The Bulldogs carded a 12-over 296 in the final round to finish 19th on the leaderboard.
Junior LoraLie Cowart worked her way back from a 6-over mark on Saturday to finish tied for 46th with a 2-over 73. Fifth-year senior Caterina Don carded a 3-under 68 tie with Cowart to lead the Bulldogs individually.
No. 11 Southern California recorded a 9-under 843 to win the event seven strokes ahead of second place No. 22 Northwestern. Southern California’s Catherine Park completed the final round at the top of the individual leaderboard with a 7-under 206.
Cowart recorded a 218 over the weekend with Don one stroke behind with 219. Isabella Holpfer finished tied for 80th at 299, Kate Song in 86th at 231 and Celine Brovold Sanne at 99th at 258.
The Bulldogs will now enjoy a break before returning to action in January.
