HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC. —Morgan Smith carded a team-leading round of 73 on the final day of the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate as the Bulldogs finished 12th as a team at Long Cove Club.

· The Bulldogs combined for a team score of 298 (+14) in the final round of competition to maintain 12th place among a stacked field on Hilton Head Island. Georgia finished with a 54-hole score of 895 to finish ahead of three top-25 teams: No. 14 Mississippi State, No. 19 Duke, and No. 25 UCLA.
· Smith counted a 2-under 73 in the third and final round, highlighted by birdies on holes 2 and 6, to complete her tournament at +10 and in a tie for 33rd place. The sophomore climbed 13 places from 46th to 33rd on the tournament’s final day to share the Bulldogs’ best 54-hole score with senior Kate Song.
· Song was Georgia’s second counter on Wednesday with a 3-over 74. She birdied on holes 3 and 14 to finish tied for 33rd place at 10-over par.
· Celine Brovold Sanne posted a 4-over 75 to finish tournament tied for 40th at 11-over par. The sophomore sunk pars on 15 of the 18 holes she played on Wednesday.
· Chantal El Chaib was Georgia’s final counter in the third round, carding a 5-over 76 with a birdie on the seventh hole to finish tied for 46th (+11).

Georgia will return to action for its penultimate regular-season tournament when the Bulldogs compete at the Chattanooga Classic on March 28-30. The tournament will be held at The Honors Course, with the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga serving as the host school.
