Senior Taylor Smith (Mansfield, Ga.) posted the lowest score of any individual in the final round, helping the Georgia College golf squad jump two spots to take 11th place at the team’s home tournament, the 2013 Bobcat Invitational.
Smith carded a 68 today, paired with yesterday’s 78 and 71 for a seven-over score. The All-American took 20th overall among 90 golfers, and first on the squad.
Junior Victor Monte (Chantilly, Va.) finished 11-over in 37th. Classmate Bryan Fox (Roswell, Ga.) was two strokes behind in 48th at 13-over par, Senior Patrick Garrett (Kennesaw, Ga.) finished 52nd at 14-over par, and sophomore Ryan Trocchio (Norcross, Ga.) came in 62nd at plus-20.
The Bobcats are back in action Monday, March 25 at the Bearcat Invitational, hosted by Lander University.
