Brenda Corrie Kuehn led the way posting a round of 79 to take medalist honors and qualify for the USGA Senior Women’s Amateur Championship. Leslie Elkins of Roswell finished one stroke off the lead and qualified with a round of 80.
The final two qualifying spots were taken by Carolina Hart and Lorie McCabe who both qualified with rounds of 81.
The two alternate spots were decided in a playoff. Mary Riley of Perry took the first alternate spot while Nancy Schlich of Auburn will be the second alternate.
This was an 18-hole qualifier held in Georgia for the USGA Senior Women’s Amateur Championship. The 2016 USGA Senior Women’s Amateur Championship will take place at Wellesley Country Club in Wellesley, Mass., September 17-22.
