ATHENS, Ga. — Georgia women’s golfers Caterina Don and Napat “Jenny” Lertsadwattana were named to the College Sports Communicators’ Academic All-District At-Large team on Tuesday.
The women’s At-Large group includes student-athletes from 12 sports – beach volleyball, bowling, crew/rowing, fencing, field hockey, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing and water polo.
Don, a fifth-year senior from Pinerolo, Italy, graduated from UGA in May with a degree in mathematics and a 3.93 grade point average. She enjoyed a stellar career at Georgia, earning All-America honors in 2020 and 2024 and All-SEC recognition in 2020, 2021 and 2024. Don produced the fifth-best season average in school history this season, a 71.54 mark, with 21 par-or-better scores in 37 rounds. She recorded seven top-10 and 11 top-20 individual finishes in 13 tournaments during the 2023-24 season.
Lertsadwattana, who is from Bangkok, Thailand, joined the Bulldogs as a graduate transfer last season. She earned a master’s in Financial Planning from UGA in May with a 3.72 GPA. Lertsadwattana participated in nine tournaments during 2023-24, compiling a 73.56 stroke average, and was second on the team in counting percentage at .833. She notched a trio of top-20 efforts, led by an 11th place showing at the SEC Championships.
Academic All-American is a title reserved for college student-athletes who perform at an elite level in their chosen sport and in the classroom. The all-time list of 40,000+ Academic All-Americans includes major sports stars and some of the world’s most accomplished individuals in medicine, business, science and the arts. Established in 1952 and selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC), Academic All-America is the longest running and premier award for athletic and academic success across championship college sports at all NCAA levels, the NAIA, two-year colleges and Canadian institutions.
