Greenwood, S.C. – Columbus State University women’s golfer Courtney Lowery added some hardware to her collection on Thursday (April 16th, 2015) as the sophomore was named to the All-Peach Belt Conference Second Team. The postseason honors were handed out at the pre-championship banquet in Greenwood, S.C.
Lowery becomes just the third women’s golfer to earn the honor joining three-time selection Kimesha Anthony and two-time selection Nikki Crowley. This is the first All-Conference honor for the program since 2012.
In a successful sophomore campaign, Lowery ranked in the top 15 in the conference in stroke average and just south of 78. The LaGrange, G.A. native captured a pair of individual wins, while also turning in four other top-10 performances.
Lowery finished with the low number at the Point University Skyhawk Invitational in March, and just posted the best score on Wednesday (April 15th) in Columbus State’s head-to-head match against North Georgia.
She started off her season with a third-place effort at the Full Moon Invitational. Her other top-10s were all eighth-place finishes at the LeeAnn Noble Memorial Tournament in September 2014, the Lady Cougar Classic in February and the UWG Invitational earlier this month.
