The Columbus State University women’s golf team shot a 330 in the first and only round of the TSYS Collegiate Classic which concluded play Tuesday afternoon. The tournament took place at the Country Club of Columbus and was shortened after play was suspended on Monday due to poor course conditions.
With the score, the Lady Cougars finished the event in fifth place, just nine strokes behind first place.
Senior Kristin Galek recorded her second top 10 finish of her career on Tuesday as she shot a seven-over par 79. She finished tied for sixth place which tied her best finish in her CSU career.
Madison Williams just missed out her first career top 10 finish wrapping up play in a tie for 11th place. Williams shot a nine-over par 81.
The final two team scorers for Columbus State were Heather Altiser and Ciera Bagley. Both players shot a 13-over par 85 and finished in 24th place.
