Columbus, G.A. –Columbus State University Women’s Golf team will play in six events before the postseason, including three of which it played in during the spring of 2014.
The Lady Cougars will open the slate on February 9-10, 2015 at the World Golf Invitational in Saint Augustine, F.L. The tournament will be held at the Slammer and Squire Golf Course, where CSU finished eighth last year.
The team competes in its home meet, the Lady Cougar Classic, on February 23-24, 2015 at the Country Club of Columbus. The Lady Cougars finished fifth in 2014.
March 2-3 sees CSU head to the Lady Pirate Invitational in Savannah, Ga. The Lady Cougars return to Savannah Quarters Country Club seeking to improve on last season’s 13th-place finish.
Columbus State then takes on three new tournaments, starting with the Samford University Intercollegiate on March 23-24, 2015 at the Hoover Country Club in Hoover, A.K. CSU follows up on March 30-31, 2015 at the Link Hills Country Club in Greenville, T.N for the Agnes McAmis Memorial, and on April 6-7, 2014 the Lady Cougars head to the UWG Wolf Invitational at the Sunset Hills Country Club in Carrollton, G.A.
The six events all lead up to the PBC Championship on April 17-19. The 2015 conference tournament will be held at the Greenwood Country Club in Greenwood, S.C.
Columbus State participated in four tournaments during the fall season, with Courtney Lowery and Shelby Banta each earning top-five individual finishes.
