ATHENS, Ga. — Georgia’s Caterina Don was named the SEC’s co-Golfer of the Week on Wednesday by the league office in Birmingham, Alabama.
Don, a fifth-year senior, finished fifth at last weekend’s FSU Match Up by shooting 6-under 210. She carded rounds of 72-69-69 en route to equaling the ninth-best tournament score in program history. Don led Georgia to a third-place showing in Tallahassee, matching the Bulldogs’ best finish of the season.
On the year, Don upped her number of par-or-better rounds to 18, and she is now a combined 14-under over 28 rounds during the 2023-24 campaign. She also has eight scores in the 60s, and her season average of 71.18 is on pace to be the third-best ever by a Bulldog. Don’s performance was her sixth top-10 and ninth top-20 effort I 10 tournaments. She has been Georgia’s top individual in eight of 10 events.
