WILMETTE, Ill. — The Georgia women’s golf team carded a 309 in Tuesday’s final round of the Windy City Collegiate Classic at Westmoreland Country Club, placing the Bulldogs 13th on the team leaderboard of the elite event.

• Georgia wrapped up the 54-hole event at 56-over as a team in a stacked field that included four top-10 and 10 top-20 teams from the latest edition of the WGCA coaches’ poll.
• Morgan Smith and Kate Song paced Georgia on Tuesday by carding 4-over 76s. The Bulldogs also counted a 78 from Celine Brovold Sanne and a 79 from Chantal El Chaib.
• Brovold Sanne was Georgia’s top finisher on the individual leaderboard, tying for 35th at 11-over 227, while Smith tied for 43rd, El Chaib tied for 56th, Song tied for 61st and Emma Falcher tied for 64th.
• Smith, Song and Falcher all climbed on the leaderboard with their final-round efforts, including Smith’s ascension of 10 spots.

“We did not execute to the level we know we are capable of and this course is unforgiving,” head coach Erika Brennan said. “We will need to regroup quickly before returning to Chicago next week. We are committed to improving each time out and that starts with deep belief and teeing it up with confidence. That will be the focus over these next few days. Georgia will return to Athens for three days before returning to Illinois to participate in the Illini Invitational next Monday and Tuesday at historic Medinah Country Club. The tournament will be Georgia’s fourth of five fall events.
