CARMEL, Ind. — Spencer Ralston of the Georgia men’s golf team finished a career-best second on Tuesday in the Crooked Stick Invitational.
Ralston, a sophomore from Gainesville, Ga., wound up at 1-under 215, including a final-round 2-over 74. Kentucky’s Cooper Musselman claimed medalist honors at 6-under 210. Ralston’s previous best finish was seventh in the 2016 FAMC Intercollegiate at The Grove.
As a team, the Bulldogs fired a 24-over-par 312 on Tuesday to wind up at 21-over 885. Team honors went to Kentucky at even-par 864, followed by North Florida at 1-over 865.
Junior David Mackey and sophomore Trevor Phillips each signed for a 7-over 79 in the final round, while sophomore Will Chandler and freshman Davis Thompson both had 8-over 80s.
Phillips finished at 5-over 221, followed by Thompson at 8-over 224, Mackey at 10-over 226 and Chandler at 14-over 230.
Playing as an individual, senior Zach Healy closed with a 7-over 79 and wound up at 7-over 223.
The Bulldogs will conclude the fall portion of their schedule Nov. 3-5 in the Ka’anapali Collegiate Classic in Hawaii.?
