FORT WORTH, Texas — The Georgia men’s golf team finished 15th on Tuesday in the Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational.
Playing Colonial Country Club’s par-70, 7,204-yard layout, the Bulldogs fired an 8-over 288 in the final round to end up at 19-over 859. Team honors went to North Carolina at 15-under 825.
Senior Ben van Wyk paced the Bulldogs on Tuesday with an even-par 70. Junior Caleb Manuel and sophomore Maxwell Ford each posted a 1-over 71, followed by seniors Nicolas Cassidy and Connor Creasy both at 6-over 76.
Manuel and van Wyk landed at 4-over 214, 12 shots behind tournament medalist Gustav Frimodt of TCU and in 37th. Ford placed 44th at 5-over 215, while Cassidy wound up 55th at 7-over 217, and Creasy finished 73rd at 13-over 223.
The Bulldogs will return to action Oct. 28-30 in the Ka’anapali Classic Collegiate Invitational in Maui, Hawaii.
